I’m a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer with 15+ years of experience designing and scaling cloud infrastructure for high-traffic applications in AWS. I specialize in transforming legacy systems into scalable, compliant platforms while improving cost efficiency and aligning technical direction with business priorities.

In my recent project, I led the end-to-end migration of a legacy EC2-based Rails monolith with no IaC or documentation into a containerized ECS platform defined in Terraform, while maintaining SOC 2 Type II compliance. I partnered with executive leadership (CEO, CTO, CFO, COO) to align platform architecture with business priorities, standardized environments for repeatable deployments, and redesigned CI/CD pipelines to improve release reliability and reduce operational risk.

Across client engagements at Breakbeat Technology, I own platform architecture and delivery, standardizing infrastructure and deployment practices across startups and high-growth companies. I hire, manage, and lead teams across projects, implement infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and CI/CD workflows, and work closely with client leadership to keep infrastructure strategy tied to business goals.

Earlier in my career, I built deep Linux/Unix operational expertise through roles including Lead Linux Systems Administrator at Hewlett-Packard, Automation Engineer at Solinea, and Systems Administrator positions supporting production web and enterprise environments. I also bring a strong systems-and-operations mindset from practical leadership experience, including serving as President of the Troy University Information Technology Society.
