Ripudaman Khattar
@ripudamankhattar
Embedded engineer specializing in ASIC/FPGA verification and embedded Linux development, eager to build reliable hardware systems.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Embedded Engineer with several years of work experience in embedded systems, and a strong passion for development in the field of ASIC & FPGA. I bring a practical, quality-first mindset—comfortable working autonomously or collaborating in a team—and I’m actively growing my Make file knowledge and skills through hands-on development with Bash, Python, and TCL.
At Cobham Gaisler AB (Space Industry), I’ve been a Hardware Engineer (ASIC/FPGA) utilizing industry-standard EDA tools to simulate and perform functional AMBA Protocols verification of CPU-subsystem IPs. I write and debug test benches in VHDL/System Verilog and C using ModelSim, update TCL scripts to analyze area, power, and Xilinx timing parameters, generate STIL patterns for ASIC verification, and integrate/synthesize a processor with a Xilinx MIG controller for testing on an FPGA board. Previously at Ericsson (Telecom Industry), I worked on bare-metal and Linux test-case development, CI automation for radio device testing, and board bring-up—using oscilloscopes and lab instrumentation to discern and correct faulty circuits—while collaborating on design reviews and validation testing.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Hardware Engineer (ASIC/FPGA)
Cobham Gaisler AB
Sep 2022 - Present (3 years 9 months)
Used industry EDA tools to simulate and verify AMBA CPU-subsystem IPs via protocol verification. Wrote VHDL/SystemVerilog/C test benches, generated STIL patterns, and developed TCL scripts to analyze area/power and timing parameters for Xilinx FPGA/ASIC workflows.
Hardware (ASIC/FPGA) Engineer
Ericsson AB
Nov 2019 - Aug 2022 (2 years 9 months)
Developed and maintained test-case environments for radio devices using bare-metal/Linux workflows and CI automation. Built cross-compilation Makefiles and scripts for automated lab execution, and contributed to board bring-up and design-review validation testing for FPGA/IPs.
ASIC/FPGA Hardware Intern
JTAG Ericsson AB
May 2019 - Jul 2019 (2 months)
Supported bare-metal and Linux-based test-case development and CI automation for radio devices. Performed debugging and validation using lab equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers to identify and correct circuit/component faults.
Research Fellow (Biomedical)
Sofskills PGMIER
Mar 2017 - Aug 2017 (5 months)
Optimized a graphical user interface used to control blood pressure parameters and anesthesia medicines. Configured a Raspberry Pi, integrated the SDL library, implemented UART-based serial communication for syringe pumps, and designed Linux threads to optimize application performance.
Research Assistant (Biomedical)
IIIT
Aug 2016 - Feb 2017 (6 months)
Designed a PCB for a cuff-less blood pressure measuring portable device using Eagle. Built and interfaced a system using an Arduino with an HC-05 Bluetooth module.
Embedded Linux Engineer
Comcon Tech
Jul 2014 - Aug 2016 (2 years 1 month)
Designed and implemented firmware for audio devices and configured networking to support multiple audio endpoints. Worked with TI MSP430 using Code Composer Studio, and managed Linux kernel compilation/configuration on BeagleBone Black for WiFi, Bluetooth, and audio using BSPs and cross-compilation toolchains.
Education
Degrees, certifications, and relevant coursework
Lund University
Master of Science in Electronics Engineering, Embedded System Design
2017 - 2019
Completed a Master’s program in Electronics Engineering with a concentration in Embedded System Design. Conducted work on efficient hardware implementations of Grain-128AEAD on a 65nm process, with focus on analog and digital circuit design.
