Rigel John Jamon

I’m a versatile software engineer focused on building backend systems that are secure, scalable, and grounded in real business workflows—especially around HRIS and payroll. I combine practical production experience with hands-on ownership of end-to-end delivery, from API design to deployments.

In my current role, I develop and maintain backend services using Laravel and NestJS for enterprise HRIS and payroll systems. I build REST APIs for employee data management, payroll entries, and ERP integration, and I’ve implemented hybrid encryption (AES + Google KMS) to protect payroll files and sensitive employee information.

I also design reliable payroll cutoff processing using batch processing, queues, and background jobs. On the cloud side, I deploy and maintain Node.js (Express) serverless APIs on AWS Lambda with routing, middleware, and monitoring, and I integrate third-party HRIS APIs for automated employee data synchronization.

Beyond my job, I’ve built modular microservices in an Nx monorepo using NestJS and gRPC, separating HTTP gateways and shared libraries for maintainable scaling. I enjoy shipping production-like features—like an AWS/A Gemini inventory chatbot, offline-first PWA experiences with Ionic/Capacitor/Firebase, and React Native apps powered by Gemini and Firebase.
