I am a technology, solutions and product leader with nearly 30 years of experience across enterprise technology, telecommunications, FinTech, MarTech, infrastructure, digital products and commercial strategy.

I started my career in 1997 as an IT technician and progressed through networking, systems, infrastructure management and solution architecture. This gave me a strong technical foundation across servers, networks, storage, backup, security, data centres, business continuity and high-availability environments. I have designed resilient infrastructure and backup-power solutions in South Africa and the US and worked in business-critical environments where technology directly affected operations and revenue.

My career evolved into telecommunications, product development and technology commercialisation. I have designed and delivered mobile, messaging, VAS, digital advertising and integration solutions and worked with major African telecom operators including MTN, Vodacom and Airtel.

At Optasia, I worked with Airtime Advance across multiple MTN operating companies, gaining experience at the intersection of telecom and FinTech. At Out There Media, I moved into Business and Product Solutions leadership, combining technology, product, customer needs and commercial strategy. One initiative I helped take from opportunity through product design, integration and commercial execution generated approximately R82 million in revenue from MTN digital assets.

I have also led or materially contributed to complex technology and commercial opportunities exceeding US$5 million, including an approximately US$10 million engagement.

The common thread throughout my career is solving complex problems. I enjoy understanding the real business challenge, simplifying it, determining what technology can solve, designing the solution and turning it into measurable value.

I am particularly interested in AI and how it can transform organisations, products and business processes. I am developing further expertise in applied AI, LLMs, automation, AI strategy and AI solution architecture, building on my existing experience in enterprise architecture, integration, infrastructure, security, product and commercialisation.

I am interested in senior roles across AI and technology strategy, solutions/enterprise architecture, digital transformation, product and solutions leadership, FinTech, telecom, technology consulting and strategic commercial technology roles.

I work best in entrepreneurial environments where I can operate across technology, product, customers and business strategy. Titles matter less to me than solving interesting problems, continuing to learn and building technology that creates genuine business value.
