As a Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist, I perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures across various departments including Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology. I ensure timely analysis of clinical laboratory specimens following established methods and procedures.

I coordinated initial training, cross-training, and competency assessments for the laboratory production team, ensuring compliance with CAP/CLIA, New York, and ISO 15189 requirements. I also developed and established onboarding processes for new hires, aligning with company and quality operation standards.

I provided direction and oversight for the clinical laboratory department and other Senior Managers, delegating responsibilities as needed. I oversaw the scheduling and processing of new LDT validations and tech transfers within deadlines.

I directed and was hands-on in CLIA/CAP lab set-up, implementing processes and standards to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. I provided leadership and direct supervision to the CLIA laboratory, monitoring day-to-day activities and personnel.

I was responsible for the day-to-day laboratory processes and established and maintained the Quality Management System (QMS). I trained the team on CAP/CLIA standards, preparing the laboratory for CLIA licensure and applying for CAP certification.

I was responsible for writing, revising, and performing approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) and was involved in clinical specimen processing. I participated in initial and yearly CLIA laboratory inspections and assisted the Quality Department in QMS maintenance.

Obtained a Bachelor of Health Science with a specialization in Clinical Laboratory Science. This program provided a comprehensive understanding of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
