What I'm looking for

I seek a role where I can lead technical services, improve metadata quality, manage ILS implementations, mentor staff, and drive library digital initiatives within a collaborative, innovation-focused organization.

I am an experienced librarian focused on technical services, metadata management, and Integrated Library System administration, with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. I consistently create and maintain MARC bibliographic, holdings, and authority records using standards such as MARC21, AACR2, RDA and BIBFRAME to improve discoverability and interoperability.

In my current role as Lead – Technical Services Librarian at King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) by Saudi Aramco, I manage cataloging, classification (DDC), electronic resources, and SirsiDynix Symphony administration while supervising and mentoring cataloging teams. I drive metadata quality-control workflows, support data migration to RDA-compliant formats, and prepare KPI submissions and statistical reports for business reviews.

I have prior experience in academic, legal, and college library settings where I provided reference services, trained users on legal and research databases, handled acquisitions and budgeting, and led library automation and digitization projects. I am skilled at vendor coordination, documentation, and negotiating contracts for system upgrades and library tools.

I seek to leverage my technical, managerial, and IT-integration skills to optimize library services, enhance user experience, and implement metadata-driven innovations that align with organizational knowledge-management standards.
