RAHUL SOLANKI

I am a Backend Software Engineer with 4.8 years of professional experience building and maintaining backend applications, APIs and microservice-based systems. My primary expertise is in Java, Spring Boot, Go, REST APIs, gRPC, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, AWS and GCP.

In my current role, I work on enterprise backend platforms where I develop features, design APIs, implement business logic, integrate databases and external services, optimize queries and application performance, write unit tests, troubleshoot production issues and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.

I have hands-on experience with both Java/Spring Boot and Go/gRPC. In Go, I have worked on backend services involving PostgreSQL, microservices, asynchronous processing with Redis queues, hackathon workflows, evaluation workflows, template migration, notifications and integrations such as LinkedIn certificate sharing and email notifications. In Java, I have developed REST APIs and backend features using Spring Boot, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and AWS services.

One area I particularly enjoy is solving backend engineering problems—understanding requirements, designing clean APIs and business logic, improving database queries, handling edge cases, debugging production issues and making services more reliable and maintainable. I have also worked on access-management and scheduled background-job workflows where access needs to be automatically controlled based on expiry conditions.

I have collaborated with distributed and US-based teams to understand requirements, provide implementation updates and deliver backend solutions. I also participate in code reviews and mentor developers/students through coding sessions, projects, internships and hackathons.

My current career interest is to grow further as a Backend/Senior Software Engineer, with a strong focus on Java and Go backend development, microservices, APIs, databases, distributed systems, scalability and performance optimization. I am particularly interested in companies where I can take ownership of meaningful backend problems, write production-quality code and continue deepening my technical expertise.

Outside of day-to-day development, I enjoy learning new backend technologies, improving system design and problem-solving skills and working on practical software engineering projects.
