Computational biophysicist at the University of Manchester integrating molecular simulations with cryo-EM and PELDOR/DEER to study membrane-protein gating.

Message

At the University of Manchester, I study membrane-protein structure and function by integrating molecular dynamics with cryo-EM and pulsed EPR data. My work includes investigating mechanosensitive channel gating and lipid interactions, and analyzing ligand binding and free-energy landscapes.

Previously, at the University of Stavanger, I developed mathematical models of biochemical networks, including dopamine metabolism and levodopa-mediated regulation. At the University of Bergen, I studied membrane protein–lipid interactions using free-energy methods and mechanistic molecular modelling.
