What I'm looking for

I'm seeking an HCC Medical Coder role where I can apply my clinical nursing background, IPDRG coding knowledge, medical record review skills, and commitment to accurate, confidential coding.

I've transitioned from more than 10 years of clinical nursing across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, surgical, oncology, and maternal healthcare into medical coding. As a CCS-certified coder, I bring firsthand understanding of hospital documentation, disease processes, treatment procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology.

During my Medical Coding Internship at JVDYA Healthcare, I reviewed inpatient records, assigned ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and supported DRG assignment through documentation analysis. I apply coding guidelines, sequencing conventions, provider-query processes, and HIPAA requirements to help maintain accurate records.
