Pratha jain
@prathajain
Finance-focused economics student turning models into forecasts for FP&A and credit risk.
What I'm looking for
I’m a final-year MSc Financial Economics student with hands-on expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. I built 3-statement financial models, P&L simulations, and KPI dashboards on real datasets, then used ETS time-series forecasting, variance & trend analysis, and scenario modelling across corporate finance and credit risk workstreams. I’m also proficient in Excel and enjoy turning assumptions into decision-ready insights.
In my Finance Intern role at JCB India Limited, I constructed a comprehensive 3-statement model for a direct peer using 10 years of historical data (FY2016–FY2025). I estimated WACC at 13.48% using CAPM and the Hamada equation and confirmed ROCE of 15% exceeded WACC, validating positive economic value creation. I also executed a 10-year ratio and trend analysis across 40+ financial metrics, linking operational leverage with working capital and credit-risk signals.
I designed and delivered a trend & variance analysis framework that compared Actual FY25 performance against modelled Best and Worst Case scenarios. I identified ₹377 Cr net profit outperformance, projected FY26E Net Profit across bear and bull cases, and built a WACC sensitivity table and a net profit sensitivity grid across Beta, ERP, revenue growth, and EBITDA margin assumptions. I aim for clarity and rigor—so planning and investor narratives stay defensible.
Beyond internships, I’ve engineered an end-to-end analytics pipeline (SQL, Excel, and ETS Forecasting) on 20,000+ transaction records to automate Net Sales, MoM growth, ARPU, churn %, and a full P&L simulation across 33 months. I also built a risk-adjusted profitability framework using credit score-based segmentation, DTI ratio ranking, and CLV to isolate high-value cohorts and support targeted retention strategies. My work reflects an analytical, scenario-driven mindset built to support better financial and risk decisions.
