Peter Ombodi

I’m a Senior Mobile Engineer (Flutter) with 20+ years of software development experience, with the past 7 years focused primarily on Flutter and occasional native Android tasks. I design and develop high-performance mobile applications for iOS and Android, with deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, and I’m known for problem-solving, attention to detail, and continuous learning.

In my recent work as an Android/Flutter Developer, I deliver user-centric features by integrating REST APIs and GraphQL, debugging UI/UX issues, and ensuring app stability across devices. I also bring strong engineering ownership from architecture and state management (Flutter Bloc, Redux, GetX, Provider) to production reliability with Firebase (Core, Analytics, Crashlytics, Messaging) and robust local data storage (SQLite, Drift/Moor, Hive, Room).

Beyond day-to-day delivery, I actively contribute and maintain open-source packages—most notably as a contributor to Immich and as an author/maintainer of Dart and Flutter projects on pub.dev and GitHub (including exact_cover_dlx and reusable Flutter libraries like Flutter Flip Flap). I enjoy collaborating with business stakeholders and backend teams to ship reliable, maintainable products—while improving performance, stability, and developer experience through clean APIs, documentation, and disciplined PR workflows.
