What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an academic research role where I can lead translational studies in neurodegenerative diseases, combine molecular mechanisms with pre-clinical models, and keep publishing impactful work in drug development.

I’m currently working as an Assistant Professor at Seth Vishambhar Nath Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (since November 2023). My focus is on translating molecular mechanisms into neuroprotective insights that can inform drug development for neurodegenerative disorders.

I completed my PhD at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, UP, and my M.Pharm work centered on molecular oncology research under Dr. A. C. Bharti. I also earned recognition including “Young Scientist 2022,” a Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal, and a “Best PhD Thesis Award,” which reinforced my commitment to high-quality, impact-driven research.

In my projects and publications, I investigate mechanisms such as transcription factor pathways (including NF-κB), STAT1/STAT3 regulation, RIP-1 kinase signaling, and gene silencing of ULK-1 and ATG-5. I explore therapeutic modulation through compounds like mangiferin and nitric oxide modulators, using Parkinson’s and neuroinflammation-relevant models as well as arthritis and cancer cell line studies.

I bring a strong technical toolkit—pre-clinical evaluation with animal models, in vitro assays, PCR/RT-PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, EMSA, and stereotactic surgery—so my work can connect biology to measurable outcomes. I also contribute to the scientific community through editorial/reviewer roles and ongoing dissemination through journals and book chapters.
