Onyema Afulukwe
@onyemaafulukwe
I am a human-rights lawyer and program leader driving strategic growth.
What I'm looking for
I am an Associate Director leading new initiatives, business development and regional program management across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and the USA. I drive strategic partnerships, secure new revenue streams, and systematize impact-focused narrative and visual reporting for donors and the Board.
Previously I served as Senior Counsel for Africa where I managed litigation and policy reform strategies, led fact-finding missions and secured landmark legal decisions on maternal care and reproductive rights. I recruit, mentor and supervise multidisciplinary teams, co-lead cross-organizational systems improvements and contribute to institutional strategy, grant development and monitoring, evaluation and learning. My work is grounded in rigorous legal research, UN and regional advocacy, and published scholarship that advances human rights and reproductive justice.
