I am an entry-level SOC Analyst with hands-on experience in SIEM monitoring, log analysis, alert triage, and foundational network design. I transitioned into cybersecurity after a 16+ year career in banking and risk management, bringing disciplined investigation, documentation, and risk awareness.
I built a Splunk Enterprise lab ingesting Windows Security, Sysmon, and DNS logs, performed SPL-based investigations, created custom field extractions, and mapped activity to MITRE ATT&CK. I also designed and validated a multi-LAN routed network with both static & DHCP using Cisco Packet Tracer.
Currently I perform SOC-style monitoring and initial alert triage as a Cybersecurity Intern and applying practical skills with tools like Wireshark, Nmap, Snort, Suricata, and Kali Linux. I am actively seeking SOC Tier 1 or Junior Security Analyst roles to apply and grow these capabilities. I hold certiport certifications on IT Specialist - Cybersecurity and Networking while pursuing CompTIA Security+ .
