Olebogeng Ratlhogo
@olebogengratlhogo
I am a civil and environmental engineer graduate skilled in hydrology, design, and data analysis.
What I'm looking for
I am a civil and environmental engineering graduand with strong academic and practical experience in hydrology, transportation and geotechnical work. I combine statistical computing with engineering design to solve infrastructure challenges.
During a six-month industrial attachment at Knight Piésold I conducted hydrological analyses, supported stormwater and geotechnical investigations, and contributed to technical and geotechnical reports for infrastructure projects. I assisted with tailings storage facility stability assessment, piezometer analysis, and emergency preparedness planning, which sharpened my field and data-interpretation skills.
For my individual research I analyzed 85 years of Okavango River flow data using R and SPSS and techniques such as CUSUM, Mann-Kendall, Sen's Slope, Method of Moments, PWM and Monte Carlo simulation to assess long-term trends and delineate floodplains. I also contributed to a highway upgrade design for the A1 corridor, performing traffic studies, drainage design and AutoCAD drafting, and applied relevant British Standards for bridge design.
I am collaborative, proactive and committed to continuous learning, having held leadership roles in university ensembles and managed finances and events. I seek roles where I can apply hydrology, drainage and transport design skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
