What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can build and improve data-driven products—especially OCR/ML systems and optimization models—while growing into stronger data science and cybersecurity responsibilities. I value teamwork, clear documentation, and measurable impact.

I’m a proactive BSc Computer Science & Mathematics graduate with hands-on experience in data engineering, OCR model development, machine learning competitions, and cybersecurity strategy challenges. I bring a practical, problem-first mindset—turning messy inputs into reliable outputs and well-documented systems.

In my Data Engineering Intern role, I developed an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) API in Python that processed digit images and returned correct numerical classifications with high accuracy. I also documented processes and collaborated remotely with the engineering team, ensuring the solution was maintainable and easy to integrate.

Beyond internships, I build project-grade models: I created a custom OCR Digit Recognition API with preprocessing, feature extraction, and model inference pipelines, and I worked on a Healthcare Facility Optimization Model using a multi-objective approach to minimize travel distance and maximize demand coverage. I implement these workflows in Python and apply techniques like DEAP and feature selection to strengthen performance and clarity.

I’ve also developed leadership and communication skills through serving as a student representative and Vice President of IndabaX Machine Learning Club. I’m excited about roles in Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering where I can apply machine learning, data modeling, and secure-by-thinking engineering to real-world needs.
