@ojonokaabdu
Public Health Officer focused on mental health initiatives and MEL/M&E to improve access to quality care in Nigeria.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Public Health Officer with over two years of experience in Nigeria, supporting community-based health and mental health initiatives. I conduct mental health assessments and help strengthen psychosocial support through practical, people-centered program planning.
I build programs with strong Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning foundations—collecting and analyzing MEL/M&E data, preparing qualitative and quantitative reports, and engaging stakeholders to improve outcomes. I’m comfortable working with vulnerable populations and coordinating multidisciplinary teams and public sector partners to move evidence into action.
Most recently, as a Special needs Educator at Creative Learning Centre (Feb 2025 – Aug 2025), I supported community-based mental health programs targeting vulnerable and underserved populations. I conducted assessments, contributed to individualized care and support plans, coordinated referrals and follow-ups for continuity of care, and prepared monthly narrative and data-driven reports aligned with organizational and donor requirements.
Earlier, as a Public Health Intern at Plateau State Primary Health Care Board (2021 – 2022), I provided technical support for public health programming and service delivery, including assisting with systems for collecting and analyzing public health data. I also supported community outreach and health education, and contributed to monitoring and documentation of community health interventions—skills I further applied during the HRH Validation Project (EU-SARAH/UNICEF) in Aug 2025, where I conducted field-level healthcare facility workforce data collection with accuracy, completeness, and ethical handling of sensitive information.
