Ogal Vincent

I’m a Strategic Communications and Public Information Specialist with more than 10 years of experience leading high-impact communications, media relations, digital engagement, knowledge management, and stakeholder communications within the United Nations system and Uganda’s public sector.

In my current role as Communication Officer at UNESCO Antenna Office, Kampala, I design and implement strategic communication planning across Education, Sciences, Culture, and Communication & Information, with emphasis on teacher capacity development and digital transformation in education.

I produce and oversee editorial work that includes feature stories, policy briefs, newsletters, videos, and digital assets, ensuring consistency in messaging, quality standards, and brand alignment. I also manage multi-platform social media messaging and maintain strong relationships with national and regional media houses to support accurate, timely institutional coverage.

Previously, as a Communications and IT Officer at the Uganda National Commission for UNESCO, I managed communication and PR strategies across digital platforms, produced visual and multimedia content, updated institutional websites and digital archives, and coached staff to strengthen communication capacity. I’m especially driven by results-based storytelling and donor visibility, and I bring an ICT background plus postgraduate studies in Public Relations and Strategic Communication to help translate programme impact into engaging public narratives and durable knowledge systems.
