Hi, I'm Nitya.

I didn't expect my career to begin in finance and eventually lead me to product design. Looking back, though, it makes sense. I spent my days researching companies, analysing markets, and looking for patterns. Over time, I realised I enjoyed solving problems just as much as understanding them, and design felt like the natural next step.

I've now spent 4+ years working in product design across AI-led products, B2B SaaS, e-commerce, and early-stage startups. I've often joined teams when ideas were still taking shape, working closely with founders, product managers, and engineers to take products and features from early problem definition through design and implementation.

Most recently at Accolade, I worked on a 0→1 AI-native product for multifamily real estate, designing complex leasing workflows, human-AI interactions, and reusable product patterns while also helping scale the design system. Before that, I was the founding and sole Product Designer for ONEWAYX, a virtual commerce platform, where I helped shape the product from the ground up.

I enjoy the part of product design that happens before the screens: asking questions, understanding the real problem, exploring different directions, and figuring out what can be simplified or left out. I'm equally comfortable getting into the details, whether that's interaction states, prototypes, design systems, or working with engineers through implementation.

I'm currently interested in Product Designer and Senior Product Designer opportunities, particularly with teams working on complex products, AI, SaaS, or new 0→1 experiences. I'm based in Bangalore and also open to remote opportunities with global teams.

When I'm away from my laptop, you'll probably find me reading, painting, looking after my plants, or carrying a camera while travelling.

Changing careers into design wasn't straightforward. I spent a lot of time learning on my own and wishing someone had explained things a little more simply. That's also why I started writing on LinkedIn: to share what I was learning with other designers finding their own path. The conversations that followed have taught me just as much as the writing itself.
