Nishat Khanom

I am a social development specialist with extensive experience designing and implementing gender action plans, resettlement action plans, social impact assessments, and community consultations for World Bank, AIIB, ADB and government-funded WASH and infrastructure projects in Bangladesh. I have led social safeguards, gender studies, monitoring and stakeholder engagement across multiple large-scale projects—preparing feasibility reports, RAPs, SIAs and SMPs while conducting FGDs and consultations with affected persons.

My background includes an M.A. in English and a forthcoming Professional Masters in Industrial Relations and Labour Studies, complemented by training in gender, social safeguards, SDGs and data collection techniques. I deliver clear documentation, data analysis and reporting and prioritize equitable, participatory approaches to ensure socially sustainable and inclusive project outcomes.
