At South African National Parks (SANParks), Table Mountain National Park, I progressed from Field Ranger to Ranger Sergeant. In my current role in the Simons Town Section, I coordinate conservation operations, including anti-poaching strategies, patrols, and compliance monitoring as a Grade 2 Environmental Management Inspector.
I oversee the protection and biological monitoring of the critically endangered African Penguin population, alongside marine wildlife management. My work also includes coordinating field teams and fleet resources, and overseeing projects such as erosion control and infrastructure maintenance.
Earlier in the park, I assisted with game counts and penguin nest monitoring, and conducted foot and vehicle patrols. I hold a BTech in Nature Conservation and certifications including ICS 300 and Emergency First Aid Responder Levels 1, 2, and 3.
