Nikhil Kumar Panigrahi

I’m a Computer Science undergraduate with CGPA 9.7 and hands-on experience in backend development, machine learning pipelines, and open source contribution. I focus on backend systems, REST APIs, and writing well-tested, maintainable code.

At Infosys Springboard, I built and deployed an AI-based Aadhaar fraud detection system with an end-to-end OCR and machine learning pipeline. I achieved 85% fraud detection accuracy and cut manual review time by 60% across 200+ documents, deploying Scikit-learn models via Flask REST APIs for real-time inference on a stateless, horizontally scalable backend.

I also built a full RAG platform over 2,000+ documents in CompanyMind, using NLP embeddings stored in MongoDB Atlas Vector Search and a complete RAG pipeline (ingestion, chunking, embedding, vector retrieval, and LLM-based response generation). In ASSISTLY, I developed a Flask+React.js platform with Firebase real-time sync, implementing JWT authentication and RBAC across 3 user roles. On the open-source side, I’m a CLAM team member and collaborator at Oppia Android, contributing multiple PRs that were merged by core maintainers.
