At the Indian Institute of Forest Management, I supported the conceptualization and framework design of the Coastal and Marine Biodiversity Resource Management Plan for the Nicobar Islands, including methodological protocols and preliminary scoping studies.
As a Senior Research Fellow, I contributed to forest resource accounting frameworks and an assessment of the potential for REDD+ and biodiversity credits in India. I also designed and conducted field surveys on community perceptions of human-wildlife conflict mitigation strategies across wildlife sanctuaries in Madhya Pradesh.
With the Telangana State Forest Department, I assessed potential ecotourism sites and designed activity plans to balance visitor use with habitat protection. At NCBS, I monitored tree demography and carbon dynamics on long-term vegetation plots in Nagarjunasagar Srisailam and Amrabad Tiger Reserves.
At Kanha Tiger Reserve, I prepared the Tiger Conservation Plan for wildlife corridors and authored technical conservation documents for reserve management. I use R and SPSS for ecological data analysis, and ArcGIS, QGIS, and MaxEnt for species distribution modelling; I’m pursuing a PhD in Forestry (Wildlife Science) at Forest Research Institute Deemed to be University.
