Nicolás Fajardo
@nicolsfajardo
Junior backend engineer candidate with Alliander, who turned raw geospatial data into connected grid models.
What I'm looking for
With Alliander, I wrote a Python pipeline that turned raw geospatial data into connected grid models and ran power flow calculations using the open-source Power Grid Model library.
I also built a proof-of-concept web application by extending the Power Grid Model DS Visualizer. It included graph algorithms for generating single-line diagrams and a slider to move between map and topology views.
I owned the thesis project from requirements to validation, interviewing domain experts and running two rounds of user tests against baseline views. I analysed task time, accuracy, usage metrics and UEQ scores.
As a Junior Teaching Assistant at Universidad de Los Andes, I supported undergraduate courses and graded work involving data modelling, SQL, transaction management and algorithms. I’m looking for my first production role building backend services and data pipelines.
