I’m a legal practitioner with sixteen years’ experience in employment and labour relations law, contract law, arbitration and litigation. I serve as an in-house attorney, providing legal advice and representing government and local government in court and arbitration matters.
My work centers on public sector governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. As Principal State Counsel at Chobe District Council, I headed the legal affairs function—providing expert counsel through council committees and full council, ensuring compliance, managing a high case load, and instituting and defending legal actions across multiple forums, including industrial and arbitration matters.
I also bring leadership beyond the courtroom. As Deputy Council Secretary (Corporate Services), I strategically led human resources, finance, and procurement, ensured budget allocation compliance, overseen audit responses, and represented the council before labour courts, the Ombudsman, and related decision-making bodies. Recently, as Board Chairperson of Chobe Development Holdings (Pty) Ltd, I focus on governance compliance and strategic priorities while advising the CEO and acting as the board’s primary link.
