Nabil Sadd Sammo
@nabilsaddsammo
Naval architect turned AI researcher specializing in dataset annotation, ML model development, and computer vision.
What I'm looking for
I am a naval architecture graduate from BUET who transitioned into applied AI and machine learning, focusing on dataset preparation, annotation, and model development.
My work spans research and industry: I contributed high-quality text, video, and audio annotation at xAI and have been a research assistant at AISIP Lab (AUST) since 2024.
I led undergraduate and independent research projects that produced predictive models for ship repair time and marine accident likelihood, and I co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on ML applications including road crack detection, crop recommendation, and Alzheimer’s interpretability.
I bring hands-on experience with dataset engineering, image and text labeling, model training and tuning (YOLOv5/YOLOv8, DeiT, Vision Transformer, Swin Transformer), and ML toolkits like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn and Hugging Face.
