Muhammad Ahid Abdil Bar
@muhammadahidabdilbar
International Relations researcher turning geopolitical data into actionable policy reporting.
What I'm looking for
I’m an International Relations researcher and political/economic analyst focused on translating complex geopolitical data into actionable policy reports. I’ve built a track record of producing research that connects security developments, trade dynamics, and foreign policy decisions.
Through my work with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BSKLN), I co-author strategic research and analyze how cross-regional foreign policy intersects with international trade and supply chain vulnerabilities. I also publish a consistent monthly analytical paper, tracking political shifts, economic trends, and security developments across Europe and Eurasia.
As Head of Roundtable and Digitalization Division and a Research Assistant at UNAIR’s Centre for Strategic and Global Studies (CSGS), I lead roundtables, coordinate content strategy, and facilitate dialogues on Indo-Pacific and global issues. I regularly monitor and synthesize daily news into actionable summaries, including analysis of Indonesia’s domestic civil-military relations through Strategic Culture.
I bring strong event coordination, academic editing, and diplomatic reporting discipline—supporting academic rigor through reviewing incoming opinion articles and moderating public discussions. I’m fully prepared to leverage these research capabilities in a rigorous, full-time professional diplomatic environment.
