Monica Játiva
@monicajativa
I create intercultural audiovisual stories and conservation education for social impact.
What I'm looking for
I've contributed to social-impact projects through art, audiovisual work, and conservation education. At the Institute of Film and Audiovisual Creation, I age-rate films to promote responsible, safe content for young audiences, and I curated short-film submissions for the 9th Quito International Film Festival.
My work connects visual culture, intercultural communication, ecotourism, and environmental education. I've guided visitors in the Amazon rainforest at Kapawi Lodge, taught film and audiovisual subjects at PUCE, supported post-production and subtitling, and translated between English and Spanish across cultural, medical, legal, and tourism contexts.
