Missy Sweeney

I am a Doctor of Pharmacy (cum laude) and a licensed pharmacist currently practicing as an outpatient specialty pharmacist at an academic health system. I focus on oncology and management of complex therapies across multiple chronic disease states.

I manage and monitor patients receiving specialty medications, ensuring accurate dispensing and facilitating access through grants, manufacturer copay cards, and patient assistance programs. I practice to URAC and ACHC accreditation standards and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize evidence-based treatment plans.

I regularly precept and teach PharmD candidates and have completed advanced practice experiences across oncology, heart failure, diabetes, transitions of care, and infusion clinics. My clinical experience includes medication reconciliation, MTM, disease-state management, vaccination counseling, and workflow optimization.

I have contributed to clinical research and presented posters at ASHP Midyear, coauthored a publication on hepatocellular carcinoma treatment, and hold certifications including state pharmacist licensure, AAHIVP, and BLS. I am driven to improve patient outcomes through clinical care, education, and quality improvement.
