What I'm looking for

I want a role where I can provide hands-on pediatric nursing care, work closely with physicians and nurses, and continue improving patient safety through thorough assessment, documentation, and education.

I deliver high-quality care to acutely ill pediatric patients at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, collaborating with physicians and other nurses to keep care safe and consistent on the unit.

I handle vital signs, IV access, NG tube insertion, medication administration, head-to-toe assessments, heel sticks, and blood draws, along with concise patient-care documentation and education for patients and parents.

I’ve precepted new peers and helped drive safe unit practices through Carillion’s core values. I also received Daisy award nominations and positive comment cards from patients and their families.

Before nursing, I worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walmart Pharmacy, focusing on accurate medication dispensing, inventory checks, and answering patient questions under pharmacist supervision.
