What I'm looking for

I'm looking to lead or advise marine conservation, fisheries MCS, and field operations programmes where I can combine enforcement, technology, science, policy, and team capacity building to strengthen compliance and protect marine ecosystems.

I've led marine conservation and fisheries Monitoring, Control and Surveillance operations across Africa and the Western Indian Ocean for 15 years. I currently develop EarthRanger-based conservation technology for the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve and serve as a UN FAO Aquaculture and Fisheries Division consultant through 2028.

At Parcs NOÉ's Conkouati-Douli National Park, I built a 4,100 km² MPA marine programme from zero, commanded 80 at-sea patrols, and helped deliver 127 IUU fishing vessel interceptions across 2,000 nautical miles. I recruited and trained a 12-person team, established an intelligence-led operations room, and integrated EarthRanger and Skylight data into ranger deployment.

I've also directed a $3M-plus, seven-grant marine portfolio for Wildlife Conservation Society Tanzania, contributed to Tanzania's first National Plan of Action for Sharks and Rays, and led regional MCS work for the Indian Ocean Commission and SmartFish Programme. My work combines field command, fisheries science, compliance systems, conservation technology, policy engagement, and practical training for teams and agencies.
