Michael Lowery

I build and ship production web applications using React, JavaScript, Python, and Django. My recent work includes ShipIt, a Trello-style collaboration platform with role-based access, team data isolation, and a Django REST Framework API.

On ShipIt, I built 16+ UI components across eight pages, implemented JWT authentication with automatic token refresh, and helped bring a three-container EC2 deployment online. I also diagnosed integration issues across serializers, routing, permissions, and request/response behavior before merging fixes into the shared codebase.

I independently built MyMovieHub, a movie tracking and recommendation application that integrates TMDB and TasteDive APIs for real-time recommendations. I deployed it on AWS EC2 and worked through containerization and configuration issues end-to-end until it ran reliably in production.

I bring customer-facing experience from Allied Universal and Publix, where clear communication, fast judgment, and accountable documentation mattered every day. I'm looking to contribute that combination of technical implementation and people skills to products customers rely on.
