Ömer Yılmaz
@merylmaz
Senior software developer blending UAV autonomy, real-time telemetry analytics, and AI vision.
What I'm looking for
I’m a dedicated Computer Engineering student at Eskişehir Technical University with a specialized focus on avionics integration, testing, and aviation systems built on real-time, data-driven infrastructure. I combine full-stack development with predictive data analysis and technical strategy management to turn complex requirements into reliable systems.
In my recent experience as a senior software developer, I developed UAVs from scratch—building main frames, integrating avionics, and delivering software for autonomous flight. I led multidisciplinary teams across international competition work, architecting end-to-end autonomous UAV control using Python and ROS2 with a custom UI for mission execution and real-time telemetry monitoring.
I also focus heavily on AI-integrated monitoring and computer vision on embedded platforms. I engineered a C++ deployment pipeline for YOLO (v7 through v11) to enable high-performance object detection, and I supported mission-critical telemetry workflows using MAVLink and ROS2 while applying Agile methodologies to meet critical deadlines.
Alongside autonomy, I’ve built and shipped enterprise-style software infrastructure—full-stack apps, RESTful APIs, microservices, Dockerized deployments, and Linux server setup/maintenance. I enjoy bridging technical innovation with dependable operations, whether that’s UAV development, RF modules and telemetry protocol work, or hands-on IT/security contributions.
