Ömer Faruk Kamber

I’m Ömer Faruk Kamber, a Civil Engineer graduated from Istanbul Aydın University (Department of Civil Engineering, %100 English). I’ve worked on survey, restoration, and restitution projects, and I also worked as a freelance drafting technician for various projects and orders through “Bionluk” for about 2 years. I’m continuously improving and building practical competence across civil engineering workflows.

I developed my structural statics foundation through static calculations at “Büro Statik,” and during my “Büro Statik” Static Intern experience I learned how to design U structural statics according to TBDY 2018 and Design Rules for Reinforced Concrete Structures (TS500). I created a response spectrum for the mode combination method via Excel and strengthened my modeling and analysis skills with SAP 2000.

On the geotechnical side, I gained competence in interpreting geotechnical reports and designing retaining systems through work at “Apco-Altınok” for the Halkalı-New Airport Marmaray metro station. As a geotechnical intern (National Internship Program) I designed shoring systems in various scenarios via Plaxis, including determining soil parameters with correlation methods and calculating anchor pre-stressing and strut measurements via Excel. I also built hands-on construction knowledge during my Construction Intern period at Kırıklar İnşaat, including drainage, insulation, concrete casting, and reinforcement manufacturing.
