What I'm looking for

I’m looking to coordinate programmes where legal compliance and policy advocacy strengthen child protection, social inclusion, and community resilience—working closely with district partners, communities, and safeguarding systems to deliver measurable impact.

I’m a results-driven legal and programme professional with over five years of experience in programme coordination, legal practice, policy advocacy, compliance, and community-focused initiatives.

As a Project Coordinator at Invisible Hope Uganda (Aug 2023–Present), I coordinate implementation across livelihoods, child protection, and governance while ensuring compliance with organisational policies, donor requirements, and applicable legal frameworks. I maintain structured documentation systems and digital records to support accountability, reporting, audits, and organisational learning, and I facilitate stakeholder engagements with district local governments and community leaders to strengthen programme ownership. I also monitor activities, track implementation progress, identify operational and compliance risks, and support safeguarding and compliance mechanisms aligned with legal and organisational standards.

Previously, I served as a Legal & Policy Officer at Umoja Conservancies (Oct 2022–Jul 2023), where I drafted and reviewed MOUs, governance documents, partnership agreements, and conservation contracts. I provided legal advisory services on governance, compliance, land rights, and institutional frameworks, conducted legal and policy research, and translated findings into practical recommendations. I represented the organisation in policy discussions and multi-stakeholder dialogues, and I supported community sensitisation and capacity building on rights and compliance obligations—helping formalise more than six conservancies through legally compliant agreements and governance frameworks.

Earlier, I worked as a Legal Officer at M/s Kinyera David & Co. Advocates (Oct 2021–Sep 2022) and as a Legal Assistant at M/s Edward D. Okot & Co. Advocates (Jul 2018–May 2020), supporting contract drafting, legal research, dispute resolution, case management, and court document preparation. I bring a practical, evidence-led approach—translating field experiences and research into recommendations and training that strengthen accountability, community resilience, and service delivery. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Gulu University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LDC), with my application for enrolment as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda in progress.
