What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role combining patient safety/risk management with wound/ostomy clinical expertise. I want to review incident events, run risk assessments, and lead process improvements while educating clinicians to prevent recurrence.

I’m a dedicated Registered Nurse with 27 years of experience supporting nursing departments across acute care hospital, LTC, home health care, and outpatient settings. I bring strong time management and a patient-sensitive approach to efficient, thorough care.

In my current roles at Covenant Health Fort Loudoun, I serve as a Sr. Risk Manager, reviewing and triaging System Incident Reports, coordinating clinical risk assessments and root cause analyses, identifying risk trends, and communicating findings to Senior Leadership to support process improvements and compliance.

Alongside risk work, I provide enterostomal/ostomy care consultation—completing wound and ostomy assessments, recommending treatments, delivering comprehensive ostomy teaching, verifying insurance, placing orders for supplies, rounding with surgeons, and educating physicians and nursing staff.

I also have long-term wound care leadership experience, including Clinical Nurse Manager at Healogics (case management and HBO patient assessment/chamber operation as provided) and Wound Care Specialist roles. I’m additionally certified as a Wound Care professional (2005) and a Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (2014), and I’ve led nursing teams through staff development, infection control, patient safety, and staffing/scheduling improvements as a Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager.
