I’m a behavioral health and patient care professional with more than 16 years of experience supporting individuals in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment programs, healthcare facilities, and disability services. I’m currently pursuing studies in social work to strengthen my advocacy and patient-centered approach.
In my current role as a Behavioral Health Specialist, I provide behavioral health support for individuals experiencing substance use disorders and other mental health challenges within a hospital setting. I assist with emotional support, crisis stabilization, safety monitoring, daily living needs, and I maintain accurate documentation of patient behaviors, progress, and treatment participation.
Previously, as a Resident Advocate and Psychiatric Technician, I delivered direct patient care and behavioral monitoring, supported vulnerable populations through behavioral crises, and used de-escalation techniques to protect safety and well-being. I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams during case reviews and treatment planning meetings, including prompt communication of concerns such as safety issues and suicidal ideation.
Earlier roles strengthened my foundation in care coordination, applied behavior analysis (ABA) support, and documentation, while also building trust with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
