Mazid Akram
@mazidakram
Materials science researcher advancing nanomaterials, optoelectronic devices, and solar cells through data-driven experiments.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Materials Science professional with four years of research experience in nanomaterials synthesis, optoelectronic device fabrication, and experimental characterisation. I’m proficient in advanced characterisation techniques alongside computational modelling using COMSOL Multiphysics, and I care deeply about understanding how light interacts with matter at the nanoscale.
My work includes synthesis and optimisation of SnO₂ electron transport layers for perovskite solar cells, where I investigated oxygen vacancies, interfacial impurities, and dopant strategies—delivering performance improvements and linking key recombination behavior to spike-like band alignment via KPFM, UV-Vis, J-V, PL, and impedance analysis. I’ve also developed biocompatible coatings for 316L orthopaedic implants and contributed computational modelling for PVDF nanocomposites and piezoelectric PVDF sensors, with research outcomes leading to a patent and publications/presentations.
