What I'm looking for

Contract-first, but open to the right full-time role. I want remote, async-friendly teams that need senior infrastructure/DevOps expertise and are happy to let me own the solution. I build automated, open-source-friendly systems that don't require constant firefighting.

I've built and operated cloud, Linux, and DevOps infrastructure for Morse Micro, NETSTOCK Australia, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Fairfax Media, and cloud-hosting providers. At Morse Micro, I helped deliver secure AWS shared development environments and HPC clusters for engineering teams while managing large-scale on-premise Linux infrastructure.

At NETSTOCK, I led DevOps work implementing Terraform and SaltStack, designed Kubernetes and Docker microservice infrastructure with GitLab CI/CD, and upgraded monitoring from M/Monit to Icinga. I also planned and built a Greenplum data warehouse for BI analytics with a non-disruptive extraction approach for critical databases.

Through freelance and consulting work, I've designed open-source business infrastructure, migrated applications to cloud platforms, and supported clients across Linux, AWS, networking, automation, monitoring, and incident response.
