What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an opportunity where I can apply GIS, land use planning, and field research to support sustainable, inclusive city planning. I want to work with a team that values community input and produces actionable planning outputs.

I’m an Urban and Regional Planning graduate with a strong interest in sustainable urban development, spatial planning, and community-centered projects. I’m drawn to work where cities are planned with evidence from both spatial data and real local experiences.

Through my internship at Ndola City Council, I built hands-on experience supporting municipal planning. I assisted in GIS mapping and spatial data analysis, conducted field visits and site assessments for spatial and socio-economic data, and helped compile planning reports, maps, and documentation.

I also developed research skills through my undergraduate project, “Analyzing the Trends and Effects of Mixed‑Use Development in Kitwe.” I conducted qualitative research using interviews and field observations, analyzed land use patterns and urban development trends, and assessed the social and economic impacts to produce planning recommendations.

Across my work, I bring a practical, community-minded approach: I enjoy collaborating with communities, translating spatial findings into clear reporting, and supporting planning officers on initiatives related to social economy and urban development. I’m eager to apply my planning, research, and spatial analysis skills to organizations advancing inclusive city planning, infrastructure and housing planning, and environmental sustainability.
