At Unilever, I lead paper-based compostable flexible packaging projects for the Indian market, taking concepts from laboratory evaluation through to trial readiness.
I've scouted and evaluated more than 90 technologies, built supplier networks across India, and led or supported 10+ manufacturing, coating, lamination, and printing trials to inform scale-up decisions.
I develop practical R&D tools, including a predictive model for in-line sealing conditions and a two-day assay for evaluating bioresin biodegradability. My work also includes biodegradable and biobased materials for rigid injection-moulded components and lower-plastic paper packaging formats.
My PhD research at Imperial College London and Polymateria examined polyolefin degradation using materials characterisation techniques including SEM, TEM, Raman spectroscopy, FT-IR, nanoindentation, DSC, XRD, and mechanical testing.
