I’m a Computer Vision Engineer focused on designing and shipping real-time detection and tracking systems, from custom YOLOv8 training to edge deployment. In my DroneHunter vision and targeting work, I trained a YOLOv8 detector on a 10,000+ image dataset (94.7% mAP@50) and built a real-time multi-object tracking pipeline using ByteTrack with monocular distance estimation, supported by camera calibration with 0.0222 px mean reprojection error.
I bring an aerospace engineering foundation that strengthens my rigor around real-time systems, sensor calibration, and safety-critical thinking. I’ve also delivered a classical CV CCTV/inspection assessment using a 3-detector ensemble and a Streamlit UI, and I’ve contributed UAV-focused embedded development and communication/control architecture—while staying actively open to Computer Vision / AI Engineer roles in Cairo or remote.
