Marie Culmine

I’m a Union College student studying Biology and Classics (Class of 2027), and I’m building my healthcare foundation through direct patient-facing experience. As a Bronx Docs Assistant, I checked information, made appointments, and completed patient survey details with care.

In multiple hospital settings, I’ve supported comfort and recovery while learning from clinicians. At Long Island Jewish Hospital, I interacted with patients by handing out blankets and snacks, and at Ellis Hospital I observed post-operative care for severe heart conditions while maintaining and disinfecting cardiac machines. I also assist and observe physical therapy with patients at Sunny View Rehabilitation Hospital.

I’m further committed to learning across specialties, including pediatric care through a GPM Pediatrics shadowing role. Beyond healthcare, I bring structured leadership as a Red Cross Treasurer (budget organization and events like donor dinners and blanket making), support onboarding as a Gamma Phi Beta New Member Educator (building education plans), and lead the arts as First Chair violin in my orchestra.
