At Wisestone Tech, I develop the main product used by an ornamental stone industry to process an average of 1,500 slabs per month. I also research computer vision and AI at Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo (Ifes), where I was first author of an SBAI 2025 paper on combining AI image segmentation with optimization algorithms.
I founded Petra Smart, an AI startup that turns ornamental stone offcuts into mosaics, and created its system from LiDAR and calibrated-camera capture through segmentation and piece fitting. I validated automatic fitting in 320 runs, achieving 86% material use with no overlaps; the result was accepted at Latin.Science 2026.
