At the Centro de Biología Molecular Vegetal, Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Chile, I researched DcHY5 and its role in regulating carotenoid biosynthesis in Daucus carota. My work contributed to a poster that received an honorable mention at the IX Encuentro Científico Biología Vegetal y Biotecnología in 2025.
For my title seminar, conducted in the context of a Fondecyt project, I worked with molecular biology techniques including PCR, RT-qPCR, RNA and pigment extraction, and genetic transformation. I also worked with microorganism isolation and culture, in vitro culture, phenotypic analysis, and data analysis.
I'm currently a Mathematics and Biology teacher at Preuniversitario José Carrasco Tapia, Universidad de Chile, where I coordinate teaching materials and teach with a focus on active learning. I previously served as a teaching assistant for a plant biology course, conducting laboratory practicals and reviewing reports, quizzes, and tests.
I'm a coauthor of a 2026 publication in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, contributing protocols and the Materials and Methods section, with a particular focus on obtaining results. I'm interested in fundamental and applied science, and in microbiology as well as plant molecular biology.
