What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can build practical AI/NLP systems that optimize models for real-world constraints. I want to work on project-based evaluation and deploy reliable FastAPI backends with strong model fine-tuning and measurable improvements.

I’m an AI and Data Science undergraduate at VIT Pune with strong interest in machine learning, NLP, and project-centric internship discovery. I focus on building real-world AI solutions that work under practical constraints, not just on paper.

I developed a full-stack internship discovery platform where companies evaluate students based on real projects. I built a FastAPI backend using SQLite and SQLAlchemy, and implemented an NLP-based recommendation system using TF-IDF and cosine similarity to score project-to-internship matches.

I also worked on LLM fine-tuning for structured outputs by fine-tuning SmolLM2-360M-Instruct to generate JSON/HTML from natural language. Using HuggingFace Transformers, LoRA, and curriculum learning, I created an evaluation pipeline (JSON validity, schema compliance, field-level accuracy, F1 score, and Levenshtein distance) and improved reliability with constraint decoding and light repair.

Resume-Based AI Mock Interview

Developed a resume-driven mock interview platform that generates personalized technical questions and provides automated feedback. Built keyword extraction from PDF resumes with RAKE/NLTK, added secure authentication with hashed passwords and sessions, and implemented a chat-based interface with Gemini API.

Internship Discovery Platform
