What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can own SQL Server/SQL PaaS availability end-to-end—HA/DR design (Always On/replication/mirroring/log shipping), performance tuning, and automation—while partnering with application teams to resolve incidents permanently and maintain reliable 24x7 operations.

I bring 9 years of IT experience with about 7 years of Database Administration using Microsoft SQL Server (including multiple versions from 2008/2008R2 up through 2022) across Production, QA, and Development environments—both standalone and clustered. I provide “24x7 DBA support” and take ownership of installation, maintenance, patching, backups, restores, and database health using DBCC/DMVs to keep systems stable and secure.

My core strength is recoverability and high availability: I’ve implemented and supported Always On Availability Groups, clustering, and HA/DR patterns like replication, mirroring, and log shipping, including failover testing and backup strategies. I also handle security (users/logins/permissions), performance tuning (system/database/query level), and operational automation—monitoring SQL Server Agent jobs, SSIS failures, and Azure SQL usage alerts—while delivering migrations and upgrades (including on-prem to Azure using tools like DMA/DMS/BACPAC/export-import) with reliable execution and clear communication to application teams.
