What I'm looking for

I’m looking for remote Somali AI training work—transcription, audio annotation, and data labeling—where I can apply my Somali (Maxaa-ʻri) fluency, attention to detail, and healthcare interpreting background.

I’m a 5th-year MBChB student at the University of Nairobi (KNH Campus) with professional experience providing medical interpretation. In my part-time role, I provide live medical interpretation for Somali-speaking patients and translate complex medical terminology between English and Somali (Maxaa-ʻri) with high accuracy and conﬁdentiality.

I also volunteer as a Medical Camp Volunteer & Somali Medical Translator with the Muslim Students Association—University of Nairobi (MSAUN), supporting patient assessment, diagnosis support, treatment, and theatre support alongside consultants and senior medical officers. Alongside my interpretation work, I’m building foundation data analytics skills (Excel, SQL, Power BI; learning DHIS2) and I’m seeking remote Somali AI training—transcription, audio annotation, and data labeling—where I can be reliable, detail-oriented, and available part-time.
