What I'm looking for
I am a passionate Certified Nurse-Midwife with a strong commitment to providing comprehensive care for women throughout their lifespan. With a Master of Science in Nursing and extensive clinical experience, I have honed my skills in both routine obstetric care and gynecological concerns. My journey began at Frontier Nursing University, where I excelled academically, earning a GPA of 3.8 and receiving multiple scholarships. I have completed approximately 675 hours of clinical practice, gaining invaluable experience in various settings, including the University of Tennessee Medical Center and Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Currently, I serve as the first Certified Nurse-Midwife at Leconte Medical Center, where I manage a diverse range of patient needs, from routine OB care to emergent gynecologic calls. My role allows me to deliver obstetrical patients and manage post-operative GYN surgical patients, showcasing my ability to provide full-scope practice. I take pride in my skills, which include inserting Nexplanons, performing endometrial biopsies, and inserting IUDs, all aimed at enhancing women's health and wellbeing.
Throughout my career, I have embraced opportunities to teach and empower patients and their families, particularly in the Women and Infants departments. My experience as a float nurse has equipped me with a unique perspective on patient care, allowing me to support families during critical moments. I am eager to continue my journey in women's healthcare, contributing my expertise and compassion to make a positive impact in the lives of my patients.
