What I'm looking for

Seeking new challenges and opportunities as a Software Developer.

With over 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying IT software solutions, strengthened by professional software development certifications from IBM and Duke University, along with a portfolio of personal software projects and a passion for software engineering make me confident in my ability to excel in Software Developer role.

In my role as a Senior System Analyst at The Ottawa Hospital, I've honed a diverse skill set essential for a software developer position. Overseeing the entire lifecycle of enterprise-level software solutions, I've managed everything from initial requirements gathering to project management, vendor data structure analysis, system design and analysis, development, rigorous testing, comprehensive training, and seamless migration from test to production environments—all within demanding timeframes. Among my significant achievements are the successful integration of four new hospitals into our secure shared hospital network and the deployment of Command Center analytics that are tailored to the operational needs of executive-level users and instrumental in daily decision-making processes. My experience in steering complex projects to fruition underscores my capacity to thrive in dynamic environments and deliver software solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

My certifications in ‘Full Stack Software Development’ from IBM and ‘Object Oriented Programming’ from Duke University have equipped me with comprehensive knowledge in modern software development practices and various programming languages/frameworks. Using these competencies in addition to further self-learning, I have developed and deployed several projects with real-world applications with tangible utility, both for myself and potentially a broader audience. One such undertaking is my latest project, 'Wi-Fi Light Alarm,' a feature-rich mobile application available on the iOS App Store and Android Play Store. Recognizing the limitations of traditional alarm sounds, I developed a comprehensive alarm clock solution, offering multiple alarms, customizable sound selections including local files, custom snooze durations, and Wi-Fi light integration (power, brightness, color), allowing users to tailor wake-up experiences with personalized lighting and sound settings. Among other notable projects, I developed a 'Military Data Web Scrape Graphical Visualizer,' catering to individuals interested in global military dynamics, and a 'YouTube Comments Sentiment Analysis' tool, providing insights beyond mere video 'Likes’. These endeavours underscore my commitment to continuous learning and highlight my proficiency in software development, adeptness at crafting real-world solutions, and capacity to swiftly assimilate new technologies.

While my resume highlights my background and qualifications, my enthusiasm and determination can only be revealed during a personal meeting.
